ORIGIN STORY
During a walk in 2019, we found ourselves trapped in Melaleuca by bad weather with only a pack of playing cards featuring birds for entertainment. As we waited a number of days for the weather to clear so a plane could access the runway, we started to spin a Wedge-tailed Eagle on a Leatherman. We then began rating the birds on their twitching value, inventing other strange rules and the idea began to take flight.
The accidental and impromptu game is now an enchanting experience that celebrates Tasmanian bird life while creating an often fierce competition of strategy and sabotage.
